Physical Fitness

In order to be hot you'll have to master the art of physical fitness. When it comes right down to it, it's as easy as managing your nutrition, exercise and getting the right amount of sleep. This page is here to give you the low down on fitness and nutrition.

Nutrition

In order to maintain optimal hotness, you're going to want to tighten up your nutrition to the best you can. The best way to do this is to speak directly with a professional health dietitian and you can come up with an optimal diet. However, when a dietitian is not available, here are the basic guidelines but you'll probably have to tweak them according to your needs.

Carbohydrates

Depending on the exercises your doing and the type of muscle that is already on your body will determine your optimal carbohydrate intake. If you've got an overly muscular body then you're definitely going to want to take in 20 to 30 grams more per day that some of us average people. Carbohydrates are converted to energy for your muscles in the form of glucose. Glucose is needed by your muscles in order to operate optimally. Foods that contain carbohydrates are rice, bread, noodles and really any food that comes from grains.

Protein

Protein is the building block of your muscles, skin and hair and the body. Protein is made up of amino acids and your body will build full proteins up from the amino acids. There are foods that provide complete amino acids as well as incomplete ones. Rice and Beans are very popular forms of incomplete protein source but if you eat them together, you can create a nice complete protein source. Eggs, dairy products such as milk and cheese are all excellent sources of protein so if you get a lot of them down, your protein intake will be optimal. Typically, you do not have to worry about eating too much protein since the body will discard any extra protein in your urine.

Fiber

Dietary fiber helps maintain health of your gastrointestinal system. The body needs some fiber in the diet in order to ward away the problems of constipation or it's opposite, diarrhea. Even just a few grams of fiber per day would work, but having upwards of 15 grams and higher is considered to be acceptable. Foods that contain fiber are figs, plums, prunes, whole grains and in vegetables, especially peas.

Vitamins

There are quite a few minerals and elements that are vital to some of the bodies core functions. Vitamins have traditionally been obtained from the foods that you eat but because more and more foods are being refined, they lose much of their vitamins. Many people are taking multi vitamins in order to combat any possible vitamin deficiency. Taking a multivitamin every day is a bit of overkill but taking a vitamin tablet at least once per week would be optimal if you are not eating a lot of food.

Sleep

The body does much of its repair and regeneration during sleep. Without getting enough sleep, your results will definitely be lacking. Seven to Eight hours of sleep per night is considered optimal for healthy adults. Many personal trainers will recommend that sometime during the day if your mind feels drowsy and you feel like you want to lay down that you should not ignore this feeling.
